Travelling to the USA has never been so easy! Dublin airport has announced the opening of the US Preclearance facility, which allows passengers to cross the border in Europe and enjoy comfortable arrival in the United States. – Britain is Ireland’s nearest neighbour and number one trading partner. Aer Lingus’ history of connecting these two islands goes back as far as 1936 when we first flew to Britain – says Mike Rutter, responsible for revenue processes in the company. More than 10,6 million passengers choose Aer Lingus annually and many of them fly across the Atlantic from the UK. This is why the United States is one of the most popular Aer Lingus’ long-haul destinations.
Ireland’s main aviation gateway is Dublin Airport, welcoming over 21,7 million passengers a year. A modern terminal with plenty of duty-free shops, bars and cafes makes waiting for your flight more convenient. Don’t forget to taste the Irish cuisine! Free Wi-Fi at the airport (as well as on-board Aer Lingus) allows you to stay in touch with family and keep up with the latest news.
Going to the United States with Aer Lingus
– Avoid long queues at the US customs border and arrive in the USA as a domestic passenger. Don’t waste time and use the self-service US Preclearance kiosks for customers – advises Vincent Harrison, managing director at Dublin Airport. – We are the only European capital airport offering the US Preclearance facility.
The six Northern American destinations include Boston, Chicago, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, Washington DC, as well as Canada. Thanks to the US Preclearance facility, you can minimize time lost upon arrival and give yourself more time to explore the city.
